Arif Saeed Elected to Executive Board of Islamic Solidarity Sports Association

TAIF, SAUDI ARABIA — Mr. Arif Saeed, President of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and President of the South Asian Olympic Council, has been elected to the Executive Board of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA). He will serve as the Regional Representative for Asia and Europe for the 2026–2029 term.
The election took place during the 15th ISSA General Assembly in Taif, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, an event bringing together representatives from 57 member National Olympic Committees.
Mr. Saeed brings extensive corporate leadership experience alongside a long-standing background in sports administration and youth development initiatives.
His election to the ISSA Executive Board marks a significant step in strengthening Pakistan’s influence within international sports governance. In his new role, Mr. Saeed will focus on advancing athlete development and welfare, fostering cooperation among member committees, and promoting sports growth across ISSA member nations.
