Yawar Hussain Appointed New Director General of Pakistan Sports Board


Notification issued after Mohyuddin Wani held additional charge following Yasar Pirzada’s departure

ISLAMABAD: Yawar Hussain has been appointed as the new Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB). The official notification of his appointment has been issued.

Hussain takes over the charge after Yasar Pirzada stepped down. Following Pirzada’s departure, Mohyuddin Wani had been holding the additional charge of DG PSB.

A Grade-20 officer hailing from Jhang, Yawar Hussain has previously served as Director General of Passports and Immigration. He has also performed duties in Balochistan during his civil service career.

Hussain has also worked as Joint Secretary for Interior Affairs, bringing extensive administrative experience to the role.

His appointment comes at a time when PSB is preparing for upcoming national and international sporting events.
