Lahore Celebrates OCA Fun Run with Asian Games Spirit, Countdown to Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Begins

LAHORE — Pakistan’s athletes received a morale boost as the nation gears up for the Asian Games, with the Olympic Council of Asia’s Fun Run held in Lahore celebrating unity and sporting excellence.
Representing the OCA, Mr. Anthony Al Tahech praised the Pakistan Olympic Association for promoting the Olympic and Asian Games movements. He commended the POA for successfully hosting the event in Lahore and for its continued efforts to develop sports in the country.

In his address, POA President Mr. Arif Saeed thanked the OCA, the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Organising Committee, Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), and all partners who contributed to the event. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect. Mr. Saeed also expressed confidence that Pakistan’s athletes would represent the country with distinction on Asia’s biggest sporting stage.
The celebrations featured an interactive quiz on the Asian Games and a painting competition. Winners were awarded certificates, medals, commemorative gifts, and cash prizes.
More than just a countdown to Aichi-Nagoya 2026, the OCA Fun Run embodied the spirit that makes the Asian Games unique — a gathering of diverse nations, cultures, and people connected by sport. As the journey towards Japan continues, Lahore’s contribution has added another memorable chapter to the growing excitement surrounding Asia’s premier multi-sport event.
