World Rowing family ready to help Pakistan Rowing

Hangzhou On the sidelines of Asian Rowing Federation Congress in Hangzhou, Pakistan Rowing Federation President and Chef de Mission of Pakistan Contingent in Asian Games, Mr Hamdan Nazir met World Rowing President, Mr Rolland, President Asian Rowing Federation, Mr Chen and Asian Rowing Federation Senior Vice President, Miss Fou. Mr Hamdan Nazir exchanged views on youth, development and gender equity with them. The meetings remained very fruitful. Resultantly, Asian Rowing Federation is committed to send foreign coaches to Pakistan for talent hunt and training of the budding athletes.
The Secretary General of Asian Rowing Federation, Mr Liu Dehai called upon Mr Hamdan Nazir, President Pakistan Rowing Federation and Chef de Mission of Pakistan Contingent of Asian Games. The meeting took place in the athletes village of Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
Mr Liu appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Rowing Federation in accelerating the development of rowing in Pakistan over the period of last year. He also appreciated substantial participation from Pakistan in the international and continental events from Pakistan Rowing Federation during the last year. He committed all out support in the development of rowing in Pakistan, including technical and coaching assistance from Asian Rowing Federation. Presents were exchanged towards the end of the meeting.
The Pakistan Olympic Federation plays a crucial role in promoting and supporting sports in the country, with a mission to foster athletic excellence and build a strong sporting culture. With its headquarters in Lahore, the federation is responsible for selecting and fielding competitors for various international sporting events, including the Olympic Games. It works closely with national sports federations to identify and develop talented Pakistani athletes across different disciplines. Additionally, the Pakistan Olympic Federation aims to enhance sport governance and infrastructure by collaborating with government entities and private stakeholders. Through their efforts, they strive to nurture a healthy competitive spirit amongst athletes, create pathways for talent development, and ultimately contribute to Pakistan’s representation on the global stage of sports.
