Pakistan Boxing Team Concludes Successful Campaign at 3rd Belt and Road International Boxing Gala, China

The Pakistan Boxing team wrapped up its outstanding performance at the 3rd Belt and Road International Boxing Gala in China, held from August 15-30. The event featured 34 teams from 26 countries, providing a platform for Pakistani boxers to showcase their skills on a global stage.

The team’s exceptional performance brought laurels to the country, with notable achievements including:

• Miss Ayesha Mumtaz: Silver medal in the 48kg weight category
• Miss Maria Rind: Bronze medal in the 50kg weight category
• Miss Malaika Zahid: Bronze medal in the 54kg weight category
• Mr. Qudrat Ullah: Debut Bronze medal in the 57kg weight category

The training camp(15-25 Aug) and international competition (25-30Aug) proved to be a valuable experience for the Pakistani boxers, who benefited from world-class training and collaboration with international coaches. The initiative by the Pakistan Boxing Federation, supported by the Pakistan Army, is expected to have long-term benefits for the future of Pakistani boxing.
