LAHORE : Veteran fast bowler Wahab Riaz has assumed the charge of Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab for Sports and Youth Affairs at the National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
After taking charge, Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab for Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz also had a meeting with Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Shahid Zaman and Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi who briefed him in detail about the on-going sports development projects in the province.

Director Youth Affairs Punjab Syed Umair Hassan, Assistant Director Zahoor Ahmed and other officials were also present on this occasion.
Talking on this occasion, Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab for Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz said that every possible measure will be taken for the growth of sports culture in the province.

Advisor to CM Punjab for Sports and Youth Affairs Wahab Riaz further said that the development of sports culture is top priority of Punjab govt. “We will take all stakeholders on board for the growth of games in the province. Our youth should take part in healthy sports activities to the maximum,” he added.”

Left arm pacer has represented Pakistan 27 test and 9o ODI matches, he was part of Pakistan National team in 36 T2o matches, Wahab Riaz got overall 236 wickets in his more than ten years journey, Wahab Riaz colleagues cricketers Congratulated him and pray his success as Advisor to Chief Minster in Punjab.
